CSU Health Network’s top priority has and always will be the health and well-being of the students we serve. CSU Health Network supports access to essential healthcare, and we will continue to provide high-quality, safe reproductive care and education for students in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The June 2022 Supreme Court decision, which overturns Roe v. Wade, allows states to restrict patient access to reproductive health services. This decision is not expected to impact reproductive health services in Colorado. However, it is likely to significantly impact access and services for many across the nation. We know many in the CSU community are just beginning to process this decision and will continue to do so in the days and weeks to come. There are a vast range of emotions associated with this announcement among those who support the decision and those who disagree with it, including some who may be wrestling with important questions about how their own access to health services may be impacted.
We encourage anyone who feels distressed or concerned to seek support and community and seek guidance and counseling through the resources provided below.

- CSU Health Network Counseling Services
- Students can connect with a counselor during drop-in hours, which are available without an appointment every weekday from 9am-3:30pm (starting at 10am on Tuesdays). If you are experiencing a mental health crisis during evenings, overnights, or weekends you have immediate access as a CSU student to speak with a crisis counselor by calling 970-491-6053.
- Survivor Advocacy and Feminist Education Center
- The SAFE Center provides free and confidential advocacy to CSU students navigating the emotional aftermath of stalking, sexual assault, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and relationship violence. Call the hotline at 970-492-4242 to speak with an advocate. Confidential victim advocates are also available for drop-ins or scheduled appointments during business hours at 112 Student Services or our online chat function.
- Student Case Management
- Provides crisis prevention and intervention services.In difficult situations such as medical, mental health, behavioral, personal or family crisis, illness or injury, a student may find it difficult to navigate the resources and services available. Student Case Managers consult with students, faculty, staff, families, and providers to offer guidance on the next best steps.
